To Bulk or Not to Bulk: Crunched by Wishful Thinking

This is not to discourage my readers, the evasive six-pack abs you've been wishing for is not so soon to be seen or might be close to being impossible. Unless you make a choice, the beach worthy body almost every gym goer tries to achieve can see a light of day.

Being a gym junkie for years now I have known many people who have been hitting the gym as part of spending their spare time and as maintenance for healthy lifestyle. I have seen  forms and shapes and become a witness of many transformations. I was really inspired by these people. Their dedication is a living testament of the saying YOU WILL NEVER KNOW YOUR LIMITS UNLESS YOU PUSH YOURSELF TO THEM. OH yeah!

Limit is not definite. As far as having a washboard abs is concerned the struggle can be said as real.

Firstly, our abdomen is made up of muscles and fats. It is the least used part of the body and this is the primary reason why fat deposits in this area is higher than the others. Less regards to proper diet could lead to having a bloated and deformed abdomen which would contribute to poor physique. Genetically blessed people have uniform distribution of fats that made them appear aesthetically appealing despite their body fat percentage.

To bulk or not to bulk?It simply means putting a volume to our body.

Bulking involves eating a lot of HEALTHY FOODS (junks are not accepted) that will help our body to develop muscles. This is commonly done by bodybuilders who try to achieve form and volume prior to competition. Competitors especially on the aesthetic category don't just rely on this method. You can verify this with realistically minded fitness practitioners.

There is no spot reduction until you visit a doctor for liposuction and non-invasive procedures. You don't hit the gym to totally remove your fats (body needs fats!) and see chunky abs.

Get real! Are you a fitness model who earns money from being topless in the runway or  by posing in a fitness and health magazine? Hard-rock abs shows naturally only when you take physical activities and healthy eating into your routine. Don't consider it as your motivating factor.

Abdominal exercise is just one of the many things you can do. Hercules got his chiseled body not because he was a die hard gym warrior but because he pushed himself harder in every battle he won.
